Taiwan was hit by an earthquake again

Taiwan has been shaken again by earthquakes. More than 80 earthquakes were felt along Taiwan's east coast from Monday evening to midnight local time.

Taiwan's Meteorological Administration said the strongest quake measured 6.3 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the remote area of ​​Hualien in the east. The earthquake was also felt in the capital, Taipei.

Earlier on April 3, a strong earthquake shook the east coast of Taiwan. At least 14 people died. Infrastructure is damaged.

According to USGS, the magnitude of the earthquake was 7.4. The epicenter was 18 km south of Hualien city.

It was the strongest earthquake in Taiwan in 25 years. Before that, in September 1999, an earthquake of magnitude 7.6 hit Taiwan. About 2 thousand 400 people died in it.
