President Joe Biden has reacted strongly to the possible assassination attempt on Donald Trump near his golf course in Florida, USA. He said, there is no place for political violence or violence of any kind in the United States.

Biden said this in a statement. The US president also said he was relieved that former President Trump was unharmed.

Biden thanked members of the Secret Service and law enforcement agencies. He said he ordered to ensure the continued protection of the former president.

Kamla Harris, the current vice president and Trump's rival in the presidential election, condemned the incident. Kamala of the Democratic Party said in a statement that she is happy to know that Trump is safe. Violence has no place in America.

Kamala's running mate Tim Walz gave a similar message on the X post. He wrote, it is a relief to know that Trump is safe. Violence has no place in America.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said his state would conduct a separate investigation into the possible assassination attempt on Trump. People need to know the truth about the suspect and how he got so close to the position of the former president.

The sound of gunshots was heard near the golf course at around 1:30 p.m. local time. At that time, Trump was playing at his own golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. A suspect was later arrested.

Law enforcement officials said the gunman was in the bushes near the golf course. Members of the Secret Service, who were in charge of Trump's security, found the barrel of his gun in the bushes. They then fired at least four shots. The man then dropped the gun and fled in the car.

Officials also said a witness took pictures of the gunman's car and license plate. Vehicle information was then sent to various agencies in Florida. Based on that information, the vehicle was stopped in the nearby Martin area. He was arrested.
