"Comrade", "fierce" and other words that the Republicans are shouting against Kamala.

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on the debate stage

He is a 'Marxist'. He is very 'fierce'. He wants to 'destroy' America - this is the title given to US Vice President Kamala Harris. He is the candidate of the Democratic Party in this year's US presidential election. The Republicans are running various negative campaigns against him in the run-up to the election.

Current US President Joe Biden wanted to fight for the Democratic Party in the upcoming elections. Later he withdrew his candidature and supported Kamala. Then Kamala got the final nomination of the team. As Kamala's name was finalized as the candidate, the opposition Republican camp raised their voices in criticism of her.

According to analysts, the language of Republicans' negative and aggressive criticism against Kamala is so strong that it is even harsher than the campaign against Biden.

AFP analyzed nearly 120 minutes of televised speeches and comments by candidates from both parties, including the Democratic and Republican candidates. In these statements between May 1 and September 1, Republicans have come up with a strategy to undermine the credibility of the Democratic candidate.

At one time, the words 'crooked', 'bad', 'unmotivated' were used by Republicans to criticize Biden. Now Kamala is called 'Border Tsar'. That is, he is a government official who has failed miserably to solve the problem of undocumented immigration at the US border.

The term 'border czar' has been used more than 80 times against Orange at Republican rallies. Republicans have been criticizing Kamala for his 'open border' policy. Such liberal policies, they say, would result in millions of illegal "aliens" (immigrants) streaming across the border into the United States.

Negative words are now increasingly used in campaigns. According to AFP, there is 30 percent more negative campaigning against Kamala than against Biden.

Trump-supporters are using negative words like 'crime', 'destruction', 'bad'- against oranges on television screens.

At the same time Democrats are using relatively positive words. Words like 'freedom', 'victory', 'excitement' have been used 30 per cent more in talk shows and 70 per cent more in election rallies after Kamala's candidacy.

Trump and his aides are trying to portray Kamala as more radical than Biden. For this they are describing Kamala as 'leftist' and 'extremist'.

Biden withdrew his candidacy on July 21. Then suddenly the use of the word 'liberal' in Kamala skyrocketed. The word is used eight times more in rallies and six times more in talk shows.

Previously, the adjectives 'socialist' and 'Marxist' were not used much in the case of Biden. But later they became very common in the vocabulary of Republicans.

Trump even referred to his Democratic rival as 'Comrade Orange'. Trump has used the term at least 30 times against Kamala in various campaign rallies.

According to AFP's analysis, among the words or phrases used to identify orange, 'comrade' is in the seventh position. In contrast, the Democrats called their candidate Kamala a 'leader', 'ready' etc. Here 'ready' means Kamala is ready to become the next president.

Among the top 20 words or phrases used by Democrats to identify orange are 'fight', 'liberty' and 'faith'. In these words, the Democrats expressed their hope for Kamala.
