Absolute victory of the Labor Party in the UK

But the survey was true. The win was expected. The Labor Party won the election in the United Kingdom. The party has won 362 seats till 11 am Bangladesh time. A big gap has developed with the Conservative Party. This party got 82 seats. 326 seats are required to get majority.

The Liberal Democrats won 50 seats. In London, Labor Party leader Keir Starmer said, "Change has already started." He told a cheering crowd, "I'm delighted."

After 14 consecutive years in the United Kingdom, the Conservative Party left power. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has to leave. He accepted defeat.

Voting through ballots started from 7:00 AM local time yesterday. Lasts till 10pm.

At least 98 political parties participated in this election. 35 political parties field only one candidate each.

Breaking the record, 4 thousand 515 candidates contested this time. Each seat has an average of 7 candidates. There are 459 independent candidates in 317 seats.

A number of British citizens of Bangladeshi origin are candidates for the nomination of various parties in this year's general election in the United Kingdom. Apart from this, some are contesting as independent candidates. In all, at least 34 British citizens of Bangladeshi origin competed.

Counting begins immediately after polling is over. According to the rules, the party with the majority of seats will form the government and the leader of the party will be called by the King Charles III of the United Kingdom.

The party with the second majority of seats will be the main opposition party in Parliament. And the leader of the party will be the main opposition leader.

On July 9, swearing-in of new parliament members and speaker election will be held. The official inauguration of the new government will begin on July 17 with the inauguration speech of King Charles III.
