Modi's oath today, who is invited, how the event is going

    Narendra Modi

The oath-taking ceremony will begin at 7:30 this evening. Then it will be understood how many people from which party are getting a place in the cabinet.

Narendra Modi is going to take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. The oath-taking ceremony is going to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan this Sunday evening.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Delhi on Saturday to attend the event. Apart from him, governments and heads of state of six other neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean region have been invited to the event. Seychelles Vice President Ahmed Afif also arrived in Delhi yesterday.

Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravinda Kumar Jagannath, President of Maldives Mohamed Muijju, Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Togbe, President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal will appear one by one by noon today. After the swearing-in ceremony, foreign guests will attend a dinner at the invitation of President Draupadi Murmu.

This will be the first visit of Maldives President Mohamed Muijju to India after the election. This visit is important for the relations between the two countries. According to Rashtrapati Bhavan sources, about 8 thousand dignitaries from home and abroad have been invited to attend the oath-taking ceremony.

Before the results were announced, it was thought that Narendra Modi's hat-trick of premiership would be celebrated in public. For that reason, the proposal to hold an oath-taking ceremony in the newly created path of duty was also being considered during his tenure. As Prime Minister, Modi was keen to match the record of Jawaharlal Nehru, the country's first Prime Minister.

Nehru became Prime Minister three times winning elections in 1952, 1957 and 1962. Every victory of the Congress under Nehru's leadership was absolute. He formed the government without anyone's help. Modi failed there. In the year of hat-trick, he has to take the help of coalition partners to form the government.

The Prime Minister also wanted to top Rajiv Gandhi's 1984 election record of 413 seats. Char hundred par slogan also had another goal. With neither wish fulfilled and the victory being heralded as 'disgraceful and a defeat', the top leadership of the BJP had to give up its desire to take oath in the line of duty.

Security has been beefed up for the swearing-in ceremony. Vashal Tallat near Rashtrapati Bhavan has been brought under 'No Fly Zone'. Let alone airplanes, lanterns or drones cannot be flown or operated in the area.

The oath-taking ceremony will begin at 7:30 this evening. Only then will it be understood how many full ministers and how many state ministers are being made in the first round and how many of which party are getting a place in the cabinet. After taking the oath, the new ministers are officially informed who is getting which office. Since last Friday, the partner leaders have conveyed their demands to the top leaders of the BJP.

The TDP is seeking three to four ministries, of which at least two will be full-fledged ministers in important portfolios. Total number of members of TDP in Parliament is 16. JD-U also demands two full ministers. BJP does not want to miss out on any of the four main ministries.

Along with the Prime Minister, these four ministers — Finance, Home, External Affairs and Defense — are members of the Cabinet Committee on Security and Policy Decisions. All the important decisions of the government are taken by those five people. BJP does not want any other party to take over there.
