The call made by the Biden administration to Israel after the attack on Rafah

The US administration has called on Israel to take steps to ensure the safety of civilians. The Biden administration made the call in the face of pressure from Democrats not to send military bills to Israel.

The Biden government responded after an Israeli military operation killed nearly half a hundred Palestinians in the Rafah refugee camp.

The US National Security Council spokesman said, "Israel has the right to take action against Hamas." We also understand that two senior Hamas 'terrorists' were killed in the attack. "They were responsible for attacks against civilians in Israel," he added, "but our message is clear, Israel must take all possible steps to ensure the safety of civilians."

US President Joe Biden has come under increasing pressure from within his own party over his support for Israel. Last Sunday night, Israeli forces attacked a shelter camp in Gaza, killing 45 people. There is a worldwide storm of condemnation in this incident.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a prominent lawmaker from the US House of Representatives, said on Monday that Israel's operation was an unspeakable atrocity. He urged Biden to suspend old commitments and military aid to Israel.

Rashida Talib, the only Palestinian-American member of the US Congress, has criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a "genocide".
