Benny Gantz wants to know the tone of disintegration in Netanyahu's government, plans for Gaza

    Benny Gantz

Benny Gantz, a member of Israel's wartime cabinet, has set a deadline of June 8 for his country's government to present a post-war plan for Gaza.

Benny Gantz has threatened to withdraw support from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government if he fails to deliver a post-war plan by then.

At a press conference on Saturday, Benny Gantz called on the Israeli cabinet to agree to a 6-point plan to govern the besieged Gaza Strip after the war.

The former Israeli defense minister also said that if his demands were not met, he would withdraw the support of his moderate party from the wartime emergency unity government formed last year to oversee the Gaza war.

Benny Gantz is one of Prime Minister Netanyahu's political opponents. He was even known as one of the main opposition leaders in the country before joining the wartime government last year.

Gantz's tenure deepened the rift within the Israeli government. Benjamin Netanyahu's Gaza policy has been criticized domestically and internationally. The pressure on the Netanyahu government is increasing.

Benny Gantz has a plan for the future of Gaza. In it, he said about the release of Israeli hostages in the hands of Hamas and the disarmament of Gaza, as well as the formation of an international coalition to take care of the civil affairs of the valley. The United States, European and Arab countries and Palestine will be represented in it.

But Benny Gantz, like Netanyahu, has pointed out that neither Hamas, which currently rules Gaza, nor Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, will rule Gaza after the war.

Seven months have passed since the start of Israel's indiscriminate attack on Gaza. More than 35,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip so far, according to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry. On the other hand, Hamas still has hundreds of Israeli hostages across the Gaza Strip.
