Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian and Pakistan's Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, who are visiting Islamabad, discussed bilateral cooperation.
Iran's foreign minister arrived in Islamabad on Monday morning. Tensions between the two countries escalated after Pakistan and Iran counterattacked.
After that, both the countries stressed on the development of bilateral relations by reducing the tension. In continuation of this, the foreign minister of Iran is visiting.
Meanwhile, 9 Pakistanis were shot dead in Sistan-Baluchistan last Saturday during this visit to reduce tension between the two countries.
The assailant of this incident has not been identified. Pakistan has demanded speedy punishment and fair investigation of those responsible in this incident.
According to Pakistan's Foreign Office, the foreign ministers of the two countries emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation in developing bilateral relations.
Both sides agreed to work towards the desired goal of peace and prosperity based on mutual respect and a collective approach to addressing common challenges. Iran's foreign minister invited Anwar-ul-Haq Qakar, head of Pakistan's caretaker government, to visit Tehran.
