Trump to rally ahead of 'expected' victory in New Hampshire

Former US President Donald Trump. A rally in New Hampshire, USA on 22 January

Former US President Donald Trump will hold a rally in the state of New Hampshire on Monday.

Voting (primary) will be held on Tuesday in New Hampshire to select the candidate of the Republican Party in the 2024 presidential election of the United States. Trump will hold his last rally in New Hampshire before the vote.

Various polls indicate that Trump could defeat his only rival, Republican Nikki Haley, in the New Hampshire primary.

Trump spent the first part of the day in New York. There he was planning to attend the trial of a case against him. However, the proceedings were adjourned until Wednesday due to the illness of one of the jurors.

Trump and Haley are now in the race to become the candidate of the Republican Party in the next presidential election of the United States. However, in the fight, Trump is ahead of the former governor of South Carolina, Haley.

The New Hampshire primary is considered the 'last chance' for Haley. In other words, the New Hampshire primary is Haley's last, if not best, chance to fend off Trump.

Trump was twice impeached by the lower house of Congress during his presidency. He now faces four criminal charges. Nevertheless, he succeeded in imposing his far-right 'brand' on the entire Republican Party.

A new Washington Post/Monmouth poll today found 52 percent of New Hampshire voters support Trump, 77. And 34 percent support 52-year-old Haley.

At a campaign event in Hollis, New Hampshire, 59-year-old entrepreneur Denin Sanville said he thinks Trump is the only person who can bring unity back to the United States. Trump is the only person who can hold corrupt US politicians accountable.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was considered to be Trump's strongest challenger in the race for the nomination. But Ron DeSantis pulled out of the fight last weekend. At the same time, he supported Trump. Haley is Trump's only challenger after Ron DeSantis withdrew.

Haley served in Trump's administration when he was president. He served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations. Haley abruptly resigned in October 2018.
