Iran rejects the US complaint about the drone attack on the tanker

Iran says US accuses Tehran of drone strikes to cover up Israeli crimes in Gaza

Tehran has denied allegations by Washington that a drone was launched from Iran targeting a tanker off the coast of India.

On Monday, Iran's Foreign Ministry called Washington's complaint about the drone attack on the tanker "nonsense".

Last Saturday, a chemical tanker owned by Japan was attacked by drones and missiles. The attack was carried out by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, AFP reported.

Israel continues to indiscriminately attack Palestinian Gaza. According to the AFP report, Yemen's Houthi rebels carried out the attack in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.

The Pentagon later publicly blamed Tehran for the attack.

When asked about the complaint of the United States, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani, said that they completely reject this claim. This claim is meaningless.

The spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry also said that the purpose of such claims is to hide the crimes that Israel is committing in Gaza. Diverting public attention to different sectors.

The attacked tanker reached Mumbai, India on Monday. The Indian Navy's Explosive Disposal Team inspected the tanker there, news agency PTI said.

According to PTI, the Indian Navy said a preliminary assessment of the damage indicated a drone attack on the tanker. However, further analysis will be needed to determine the route of the attack.

Israel has been carrying out air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip for more than 11 weeks. More than 20,400 people have been killed in this attack so far, most of whom are women and children. The Health Ministry of Hamas-ruled Gaza reported this information.
