Police have closed the road around the scene
At least 15 people have been killed after a gunman opened fire on a university campus in the Czech capital, Prague. At least 24 others were injured. It is said that the gunman was also killed by the police in this incident.
Police said the attack took place at Charles University in downtown Prague. After the attack, several roads adjacent to the university were closed.
After the attack, authorities told university staff to turn off room lights and build barricades with furniture in front of the doors, Reuters reported.
Targ Patience, a British-Australian, lives in a flat near the scene. He said he heard the sound of "momentary gunshots".

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petro Fiala has canceled several programs due to this tragic incident.
Police said the attacker was a student of the university's arts faculty. He started firing from the fourth floor of the university building. Later his body was recovered.
According to the police, the attacker is a resident of a village 21 km from Prague. His father was found dead in the morning.
