All-out attacks by Israeli forces continue across the Palestinian territory of Gaza. About 300 more people have been killed in the last 24 hours in this indiscriminate attack. With this, the number of people killed in Gaza in 65 days in the Israeli attack has reached 18 thousand. About 50,000 were injured.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) passed a resolution calling for immediate, uninterrupted and sustained humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip. The executive board of the organization consisting of 34 member countries unanimously passed the proposal on Sunday.

Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Kidra told Al-Jazeera in a telephone interview yesterday that another 297 people were killed in 24 hours by Israeli forces. More than 550 people were injured.

The Palestinian independence organization Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. During this time 1 thousand 200 people were killed. Although Israel initially claimed that 1,400 people were killed. Apart from this, 240 people were captured. Since the start of Israel's counterattack, the number of Palestinians killed has reached 18,000. 49 thousand 500 people were injured.

Israel's indiscriminate attacks have destroyed many residential buildings and structures in Gaza. Rescue work cannot be carried out in these buildings due to the obstruction of the Israeli forces. Thousands of bodies are believed to be lying under the rubble of these buildings.

About 70 percent of Palestinians killed in Gaza are women and children. Among them, the number of children killed is more than 7 thousand.

The total population of Gaza is about 2.2 million. 1.9 million residents have been displaced due to the Israeli attack. According to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), half of these displaced people are starving due to lack of relief.

In addition, Gaza's health system has collapsed due to Israeli attacks and lack of medical equipment. Most of the hospitals there are closed. Other hospitals are struggling to treat the injured. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described the situation as "catastrophic".
