Student protests against Israeli attacks on Palestinian Gaza have spread to new countries.

Protests started at a US university on April 17 to demand an end to the killing of Palestinians. Protests later spread to other US universities.

The ongoing protests in US universities eventually spread to different countries around the world. The names of France, United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Canada, Japan, India and Lebanon are added to this list.

New countries where student protests have spread include Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and Mexico.

Germany

Last Friday, police intervened to clear protesters outside Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.

According to the police, the protestors refused to camp elsewhere. The police later forcibly removed several protesters.

Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner criticized the protests. This city (Berlin) doesn't want to see things like the US or France, he said on X (ex Twitter).

Ireland

Students at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland began a sit-in program on Friday. They described their protest program as solidarity with Palestine.

Mexico

Several students from UNAM, Mexico's largest university, set up a camp in the country's capital last Thursday. They gave various slogans. Among these slogans were 'Free Palestine' and 'From river to sea, Palestine will be free'.

These Mexican protesters want the country's government to sever all ties with Israel.

Switzerland

Around 100 students have been occupying the entrance of a building at Lausanne University in Switzerland since Thursday. The student protesters are calling for an academic boycott of Israel and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Their peaceful program will continue till Monday.
