The second round of meeting between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Liaison and Coordination Committee on power sharing to form a coalition government is likely to be held on Friday. The meeting of the two parties was supposed to be held on Thursday. But that didn't happen.

The two sides sought more time to evaluate the proposals discussed in the first round of meetings. Today the two sides may sit in a meeting.

The PPP agreed to form the government with Nawaz's party and vacate the post of prime minister. However, PML-N has added a condition that it will support them in their constitutional duties.

According to various sources, there was a dispute over the post of Speaker of the National Assembly with former Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gilani. However, he was assured that he may be nominated for the post of chairman in the Senate.

Leader of Opposition Khurshid Shah's name has also been mooted for the post of Speaker. However, PML-N has talked about former Speaker Ayaz Sadiq as Speaker.

PPP Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi said that PTI did not communicate with political parties including PPP. He further said that PTI would raise any suggestions to the six-member coordination committee. These suggestions will go to top leaders for consideration.

Yesterday, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was informed about the meeting with the political party at Zardari House. Qamar Zaman Kaira, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Syed Ghani and other leaders participated in that meeting.

Meanwhile, Amir Muhammad Khan, an independent candidate from Punjab Provincial Council constituency PP-89 Bhakkar, has expressed his desire to join the PPP.

PTI-backed independent candidates won the majority of seats in Pakistan's general election on February 8, but did not secure a majority to form a government.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is trying to form a coalition government with other political parties including PPP.

In this situation, Imran Khan indicated to change his position.
