Ballistic missiles and missile launchers obtained from North Korea are being used by Russian forces in recent attacks in Ukraine. The White House made such a claim on Thursday.

It will be two years since the start of the all-out Russian invasion of Ukraine. At this time, Russian President Vladimir Putin is expecting help from allies to solve the arms crisis.

The West claims that Russia has already started using the weapons received from North Korea in the war. And Putin wants to get missiles from Iran.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un recently announced an increase in production of missile launchers. Immediately after this, the White House demanded the use of missiles and missile launchers produced in North Korea in the ongoing war in Ukraine.

US National Security Council spokesman John Kerby said North Korea supplied the missiles used in at least two attacks by Russian forces in Ukraine in recent weeks. These missiles are capable of attacking targets about 900 kilometers or 550 miles away.

John Kerby also told reporters at the White House briefing, "The information we have indicates that North Korea has recently supplied Moscow with a number of ballistic missiles and missile launchers."

John Kerby said that on December 30, a North Korean-supplied missile landed in an open field in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region. The Russians left it. On the other hand, Moscow fired "several" North Korean ballistic missiles during a large-scale aerial attack on Ukraine on January 2.

This is very significant and evidence of North Korea's increasing support for Russia - commented John Kirby.

John Kerby also said that the US Congress should act quickly to stand by Ukraine with military assistance in the ongoing war. Support proposals must be passed. This is expected in the current context. If not, Ukraine's supply lines to the battlefield will quickly dwindle.

John Kerby said it was time for Congress to act quickly, noting that providing air defense systems for Ukraine to deter Russian attacks was on the priority list.
